Volney Mather

Volney's father was John Mather and his mother was Ellen (Helen) Mather. His maternal grandparents were James Henry Mather and Martha Williamson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Frank, Lotie and Helen. He was the oldest of the five children. He died as a war casualty at the age of 27 on July 31st, 1917 in Belgium. His burial was in Belgium.²
