Loxie (Lotie) Mather

Loxie, known as Lotie, was born in March 1891 in Atherton.¹   Lotie's father was John Mather and her mother was Ellen (Helen) Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were James Henry Mather and Martha Williamson.  Nicholas Croston and Sarah Mather were her grandparents through her father's adoption. She had three brothers and a sister, named Volney, John, Frank and Helen.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 37 on March 8th, 1928 in Blackpool.  She was buried in February 1928 in Atherton.^2 3
