Mary Mather

Mary was born on July 6th, 1857 in Blackrod and her baptism took place on August 16th, 1857 at St. Katherine (B'rod).¹

Mary's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Jane Walls. Her paternal grandparents were Nathan Mather and Alice Makinson. She had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Nathan, John, Ann, Alice and Jane. She was the youngest of the seven children.
