Margaret Mather

Margaret was born in 1786 in Turton.

- No age at death given, so assumed to be an infant.

Margaret's father was Peter Mather and her mother was Ellen Howarth. Her paternal grandparents were Peter Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Cranwhaw; her maternal grandparents were George Howarth and Ellen Greenhalgh. She had seven brothers and a sister, named William, Richard, Thomas, Thomas, James, Peter, John and Ellen. She was the eighth oldest of the nine known children. She died as an infant in September 1786 in Turton. Her burial was on September 15th, 1786 at Turton Chapel.¹²
