Jane Mather

Jane was born in April 1827 in Bolton and her baptism took place on April 15th, 1827 at St. Peter's (Bolton).^1 2

Jane's father was James Mather and her mother was Catherine Rawsthorn or ROSTRON.  Her paternal grandparents were <unknown> and Jane Mather. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Peggy, Henry, James, William, Susannah, Lavinia and Lavinia.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 42 in April 1869 in Bolton.³

‌Jane and Abraham were married in a religious ceremony on May 31st, 1846 at St. Peter's (Bolton) by Curate Thomas Loxham and witnessed by James Bee.⁴   The family line is yet to be completed.
