General Notes
Jane was the daughter of Thomas and Betty, baptised at St Peter, Bolton in 1769. Jane's father left "2 cottages in Darcy Lever, in possession of himself and Joseph Warburton, to daughter Jane Fohold (who has three children)". "Fohold" appears to be an error.
In 1831, Jane was NOT at Old Acres. However in 1805 (poor list) Richard Mather was an occupier (one of many) at Old Acres. In the 1796 valuation, Richard Mather was occupier at 46 Old Acres, Bradshaw Gate, West Side.
In 1841, Jane (70), with her assumed niece or granddaughter Alice (15), living at Old Acres, E Bolton.
Jane died in 1843, East Bolton, aged 74
Note: Old Acres in Bolton Town Center was later (about 1885) renamed Great Moor Street.
