Betty Mather 
Betty was born about 1775 in Little Lever. Betty's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Thornley. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Richard, Peter, Jane and Mercy. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died before 1823.General Notes
In 1823, Thomas left two cottages in Darcy Lever, in possession of Samuel Martin and Nathaniel Warburton, to the daughters of his late daughter Betty Hulme.
12 Sep 1824 Betty Mather, Spinster of Darcy Lever, had a daughter Alice baptised, but this is probably another, possibly a niece.
