Richard Mather

Richard was born in 1784 in Breightmet and his baptism took place on February 29th, 1784 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Richard's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Betty Thornley. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Peter, Jane, Betty and Mercy. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 29 in May 1813 in Breightmet. His burial was on May 4th, 1813 in Little Lever.²²
