In 1841, Joshua, a weaver, was living at Old Acres, East Bolton with his wife Sarah Bradbury (48) and two daughters. Neighbours at Old Acres were Jane Mather (70) and assumed grand-daughter Alice Mather (15)
Joshua died in December 1846, aged 56 and there was an inquest.
