James Mather

James was born in September 1837 in Bolton and his baptism took place on November 8th, 1837 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

James' father was James Mather and his mother was Catherine Rawsthorn or ROSTRON. His paternal grandparents were <unknown> and Jane Mather. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Henry, William, Susannah, Jane, Peggy, Lavinia and Lavinia. He was the sixth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 56 in September 1893 in Stockport.
