James Mather

James was born in 1828 in Levenshulme.¹

James' father was William Mather and his mother was Mary A Rowland. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Joseph, Stephen, Ephriam, Thomas, Ann, Harriet, Elizabeth and Sarah.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.
