James Mather

James was born in December 1862 in Bolton and his baptism took place on December 31st, 1862 at Bolton Holy Trinity.¹²

James' father was William Mather and his mother was Martha Smith. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mercy Grime. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Herbert, Mary, Mary and Martha. He was the third oldest of the six children.
