Herbert Mather

Herbert was born in June 1869 in Little Bolton and his baptism took place on August 25th, 1869 at St. James (Bolton).¹²

Herbert's father was William Mather and his mother was Martha Smith. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mercy Grime. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Mary, Mary and Martha. He was the fifth oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 1 in August 1870 in Little Bolton. His burial was on August 25th, 1870 at St. Mary (Deane).³¹
