James Mather

James was born on March 6th, 1839 in Radcliffe and his baptism took place on March 10th, 1849.¹

James' father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Mary Taylor. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Melling. He had a brother and six sisters, named Thomas, Alice, Sarah, Eliza, Martha, Hannah and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James and Mary. He died at 4 months old in July 1839 in Radcliffe. He was buried on July 17th, 1839 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).²³
