Frances was born on July 7th, 1847 in Heap and her baptism took place on April 2nd, 1848 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).1 2  Frances' father was Richard Mather and her mother was Mary Scowcroft.  Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Evans. She had a brother and two sisters, named Robert, Esther and Alice. She had an adopted brother named Thomas. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named William, Ann, Mary, Sarah and Sarah.  She died at the age of 87 in August 1934 in Bury.  She was buried on August 20th, 1934 at St. Paul (Bury).3
