In 1868, Andrew married Betty Grundy continued to live in Little Hulton, initially with Bettys parents. They had several children including John Henry (b.1871). Levi (1873-74), and four other died young, aged one to two years and are buried at Wharton Presbyterian Chapel. At leat five others survived.
