Martin Madther

Martin was born in December 1778 in Radcliffe and his baptism took place on January 3rd, 1779 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).¹

Martin's father was Richard Madther and his mother was Betty Siddal. His paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Betty (Elizabeth) Ripson. He had six brothers and a sister, named North, Jesse, Haide, Hardy, Samuel, Hardy and Alice. He was the oldest of the eight children.
