Hardy Madther

Hardy was born on March 25th, 1796 in Radcliffe and his baptism took place on March 12th, 1797 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).¹

Hardy's father was Richard Madther and his mother was Betty Siddal. His paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Betty (Elizabeth) Ripson. He had six brothers and a sister, named Martin, North, Jesse, Haide, Hardy, Samuel and Alice. He was the youngest of the eight children.
