Jacob Lever 
Jacob was born in 1830 in Oldham.1 Jacob's father was Thomas Lever and his mother was Martha Crook. His maternal grandparents were John Crook and Ann Tommason. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Janes, William, Joseph, Ann, Martha and Betty. He was the second oldest of the eight children.-
