Sarah Kay

Sarah was born in 1821 in Halliwell and her christening took place on September 23rd, 1821 at St. Mary (Deane).¹²

Sarah's father was Ralph Kay and her mother was Ruth Taylor. Her paternal grandparents were James Kay and Betty Holt. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, James, John, Elizabeth, Hannah and Rachel. She had two adopted sisters named Mary and Ruth.

  Sarah may have got married in 1842, but there are two Sarah Kay's, so dont know who she got married to. None of the possible matches can be found for 1851, not do any re-married possibilities match up for Bolton area. It is also very possible she died by 1851, either married or single.
