Ruth Kay

Ruth was born in 1833 in Halliwell.¹

Ruth's father was <unknown> and her mother was Elizabeth Kay. Her maternal grandparents were Ralph Kay and Ruth Taylor. She had a sister named Mary. She was the older of the two children. She was adopted by Ralph Kay & Ruth Taylor who also adopted Mary. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Samuel, John, Susannah, Margaret, Sarah and Ruth. She died at the age of 80 in April 1913. Her burial was on April 4th, 1914 at Tonge-with-Haulgh Cemetery.²
