Samuel Kay

Samuel was born in March 1846 in Turton and his baptism took place on July 19th, 1846 at St. Anne (Turton).¹²

Samuel's father was Samuel Kay and his mother was Nancy Mather. His maternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, George, Samuel, Kitty, Elizabeth, Alice and Ann. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 1 in April 1847 in Turton. His burial was on April 22nd, 1847 at St. Anne (Turton).³¹
