Alice was born in November 1836 in Tottington and her christening took place there on November 19th, 1836.¹

Birth Notes

Alice's father was Samuel Kay and her mother was Nancy Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, George, Samuel, Samuel, Kitty, Elizabeth and Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at 3 months old in February 1837 in Turton. She was buried on February 22nd, 1837 at St. Anne (Turton).²
