Elizabeth Kay

Elizabeth was born in August 1834 in Entwistle and her baptism took place on August 8th, 1834 at St. Anne (Turton).¹

Elizabeth's father was Samuel Kay and her mother was Nancy Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, George, Samuel, Samuel, Kitty, Alice and Ann. She was the third oldest of the eight children.
