Samuel Kay

Samuel was born in December 1840 in Turton.¹

Samuel's father was Samuel Kay and his mother was Nancy Mather. His maternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, George, Samuel, Kitty, Elizabeth, Alice and Ann. He was the sixth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 1 in 1841 in Turton.¹
