Alice was born in 1863 in Tottington.¹

Birth Notes

Alice's father was James Isherwood and her mother was Nancy Farnworth. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Isherwood and Ann Mather. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, William, James, Townley, Arthur, Ernest, Annie, Margaret and Clara. She was the second oldest of the ten children.
