Mary Ann Eddowes

Mary was born in March 1873 in Birkenhead and her baptism took place there on March 21st, 1873.¹²

Mary's father was Thomas Eddowes and her mother was Mary Ann Hughes. Her paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Whitfield. She had five brothers and six sisters, named David, Harry, George, Thomas, George, Emily, Ann, Louisa, Elizabeth, Mary and Annie. She was the seventh oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 1 in April 1874 in Birkenhead.¹

General Notes
- Although Mary Ann was baptised daughter of Thomas and Mary Anne Eddowes and birth registered at Birkenhead, the family had Mary Jane the following year, and it was Mary Jane living with them in 1881, aged 5.
  
  Mary Ann died Q2 1874, probably just before Mary Jane was born.
