David was born in December 1861 in Wrexham.1  David's father was Thomas Eddowes and his mother was Mary Ann Hughes.  His paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Whitfield. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Harry, George, Thomas, George, Emily, Ann, Louisa, Elizabeth, Mary, Mary and Annie.  He was the oldest of the twelve children.  He died as an infant at 3 months old in March 1862 in Wrexham.  He was buried on March 7th, 1862 in Wrexham.2 1
