George was born in June 1875 in Birkenhead.¹

Birth Notes

George's father was Thomas Eddowes and his mother was Mary Ann Hughes. His paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Whitfield. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named David, Harry, Thomas, George, Emily, Ann, Louisa, Elizabeth, Mary, Mary and Annie. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 1 in October 1876 in Birkenhead.²
