Mary Ann Davies 
Mary was born in 1823 in Roughton.1 Mary's father was John Davies and her mother was Ann Whitfield. Her maternal grandparents were John Whitfield and Mary Tomlinson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Joseph, Thomas, John, Elizabeth, Sarah, Maria and Catherine. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 84 on February 7th, 1907 in Sutton Green. She was buried in February 1907 in Is-y-Coed.2 3 General Notes

Mary and Edward were married in a religious ceremony in January 1843 in Wrexham.4 They had five sons and a daughter, named Henry, William, Meredith, Robert, Hannah and Martha. There are no more children.
