Ann's father was John Whitfield and her mother was Mary Tomlinson. Her maternal grandparents were Randle Tomlinson and Anne Tinsley. She had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Mary. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 45 in December 1847 in Wrexham.²

- There are many Ann Davies deaths in Wrexham, but only one between 1843 and 1851 of the correct age.

  In 1845, John Tomlinson, farmer of Ridley Wood bequetherd to Ann Davis, his niece, wife of John Davis a share of his messauges, tennaments and Farm at Ridley Wood. Also between Ann Davis and Mary Eddowes an equal share of the residue. This was a majore share of his Will. Ann's sister Mary did not get a share of the farm but instead her children got a share of £600.
