Valentine Crosland

Valentine was born in March 1784 in Butternab and his baptism took place on March 14th, 1784 in Honley.¹

Valentine's father was James Crosland and his mother was Mary Sanderson.  His paternal grandparents were John Crosland Jnr and Ellen Firth. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, James, Charles, Hannah, Mary, Ruth and Martha.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 1 in May 1785 in Butternab.  He was buried on May 27th, 1785 in Almondbury.¹
