Joseph Crosland

Joseph was born in June 1779 in Butternab and his baptism took place on June 20th, 1779 in Almondbury.¹

Joseph's father was James Crosland and his mother was Mary Sanderson. His paternal grandparents were John Crosland Jnr and Ellen Firth. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James, Valentine, Charles, Hannah, Mary, Ruth and Martha. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 87 in December 1866 in Huddersfield.²
