James Crook

James was born in June 1776 in Bolton and his baptism took place on June 30th, 1776 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

James' father was John Crook and his mother was Ann Parkinson. His paternal grandparents were Mordicai Crook and Alice Crompton. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Mordicai, Mordicai, John, Margaret, Ann, Elizabeth, Alice and Ann. He was the eighth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 71 in 1847 in Turton.²
