John was born on November 23rd, 1883 in Birkenhead.1  John's father was John Brockbank and his mother was Mary Ann Kenna.  His paternal grandparents were John Brockbank and Mary Ann Mather. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named James, William, Mary, Margaret, Hannah, Edith, Florence, Lily and Ethel.  He was the second oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Joseph and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 82 in July 1966 in Wallasey.2 



John's first family with Hanna Robina Lea

‌John and Hanna were married in a religious ceremony in 1909 in Liscard.3  They had a son and two daughters, named Sidney, Olive and Florence.


John's second family with Winifred Roberts

‌John and Winifred were married in a religious ceremony in 1926 in Seacombe.3
