William H Briggs 
William was born in 1870 in Bingley.1 William's father was Moses Briggs and his mother was Alice Pickles. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Briggs and Abigail Bradshaw; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Pickles and Mary Roberts. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Mark, Rosanna, Harriet, Caroline, Abigail, Mary, Alice and Emma. He was the second youngest of the nine children.-
