The Will of William Brereton late of Weston near Crew, Blacksmith and Farmer who died 2 June 1888 at Weston was proved at Chester by Samuel Brereton and William Brereton, both of Weston Blacksmiths and Farmers the Sons the Executors.

This is NOT the William Brereton of Harthill.
In 1841, William (a blacksmith) and Elizabeth (both 30) were at Weston, Wybunbury with Margaret (10), Mary (4), Hannah (2) and Elizabeth (10). His assumed father Thomas (80) was also with them. Neighbours were his likely cousins James and wife Ann and family (also blacksmiths, both 30) and George (65) their father.
In 1861, William was a Blacksmith in Wybunbury Village, Weston, Cheshire
In 1881, William and Elizabeth were at Weston Smithy, Weston with dau Mary (44) son William (34) and two grandsons. Nearby in Smithy Lane were Elizabeth Brereton (44, Unmarried) and her brother Samuel Brereton (38) and 3 children. All the men were blacksmiths.
2 June 1888, William Brereton of Weston near Crew, Blacksmith and Farmer died. His sone Samuel and William Brereton, both of Weston Blacksmiths and Farmers were the Executors.
