Samuel Brereton

Samuel was born in June 1842 in Weston (near Crew).¹

Samuel's father was William Brereton and his mother was Elizabeth Brockley. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Brereton and Mary Buckley. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Margaret, Mary, Hannah and Elizabeth. He was the fifth oldest of the six children.

  In 1871, Joseph (a smith) and Nancy J Brereton (29 & 24) were living with Aaron Moses (a wheelwright) and family at Weston.
  
  Samuel's wife Nancy Jane died in 1776. In 1881, Samuel and his children were living with his sister Elizabeth at Weston near Crew.
