Sarah Annie Brereton

Sarah was born in September 1882 in Tattenhall.¹

Sarah's father was John Brereton and her mother was Elizabeth Manley. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Brereton and Catherine Rushton. She had eight brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, William, John, Arthur, Richard, Robert, Charles, Frederick, Catherine, Florence, Margaret, Ellen, Gertrude and Lucy. She was the eighth oldest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 80 on December 17th, 1962 in Tattenhall.²

- Sarah Annie aas a spinster when her mother died, and died a spinster. She left her small estate of £123 to Harry Hopley Brereton, suggesting he may have been her illegitimate son.
