Elizabeth was born on June 2nd, 1880 in Bolton and her baptism took place on September 5th, 1880 at St. Mary (Deane).1 2  Elizabeth's father was John Banks and her mother was Mary Higson.  Her paternal grandparents were Philip Banks and Sarah Bolton. She had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Mary. She had an adopted sister named Sarah. She had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Peter, Charles, John, Richard, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, Mary and Margaret.

‌Elizabeth and Albert were married in a religious ceremony in July 1900 in Bolton.3  They had four sons and four daughters, named John, Willie, Albert, Thomas, Ethel, Bertha, Mary and Elizabeth.  There are no more children.  John and Willie were twins.
