Elizabeth's father was Albert Edward Jenkins and her mother was Elizabeth Banks.  Her maternal grandparents were John Banks and Mary Higson. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Willie, Albert, Thomas, Ethel, Bertha and Mary.  She died at 3 months old in March 1911 in Bolton.²
