Alfred Allan Renton 
Alfred Allan was born in 1852 in Shotley Bridge, County Durham, England. Alfred Allan's father was John Renton and his mother was Hannah Siddell. His paternal grandparents were William Renton and Marion Borrowman. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William Matthew, George, John, Thomas, Henry Charles, Marion, Annie C., Hannah and Emma Hay. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 27 in 1879 in Hexham district.-
