James Barrowman 
James was born on March 12th, 1748 in Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland and his baptism took place there on March 15th, 1748. James' father was James Borrowman and his mother was Marion Pennycock. His paternal grandparents were James Borrowman and Elizabeth Borthwick; his maternal grandparents were James Pennycock and Marion Hodge. He had five sisters named Alison, Martha, Isabel, Elizabeth and Christian. He was the third youngest of the six children.-
