Alexander McRostie 
Alexander was born in 1800 in Laggan, Perthshire, Scotland and his baptism took place there on March 23rd, 1800. Alexander's father was Peter John McRosty and his mother was Margaret Stewart. His paternal grandparents were James McRosty and Janet McNab; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Stewart and Catharine McLaren. He had a brother and four sisters, named Peter, Janet, Christian, Margaret and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the six children. He had two half-brothers named James and John. He died before 1839 in Perthshire, Scotland.-
