John McRosty

John was born on April 8th, 1796 in Comrie, Perthshire, Scotland and his baptism took place there on April 8th, 1796.  John's father was Peter John McRosty and his mother was Janet Cram.  His paternal grandparents were James McRosty and Janet McNab; his maternal grandparents were John Cram and Janet Littlejohn. He had a brother named James.  He was the younger of the two children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Alexander, Peter, Janet, Christian, Margaret and Elizabeth.
