Ellen Salhouse Tillett (Nellie)

Ellen was born on October 9th, 1881 in Wangford, Suffolk.¹   Ellen's father was Frederick Salhouse Tillett and her mother was Mary  Ann Gross.  Her maternal grandparents were Henry Gross and Mary Ann Mobbs. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Frederick, Harry, Samuel, Frederick, William, Bertie, Emma, Lavinia, Mary Ann, Edith and Ella.  She was the third youngest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 93 on September 12th, 1975 in West Witton, Wensleydale, Yorkshire, England.
