John Ruel Evans 
John Ruel was born on October 3rd, 1845 in Screven Co., GA.1 John Ruel's father was John Ruel Evans and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Lucas. His paternal grandparents were Hezekiah Evans and Sarah Moore. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named James Hezekiah, William Ellison, Charles, Herschel V. J., Ruel, Hezekiah, Sarah Elizabeth, Anna Jane, Evalina, Martha Humphries, Magnolia, Jessamine and Dahlia. He was the oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 85 on December 21st, 1930.1 General Notes
