John Ruel Evans 
John Ruel was born on December 20th, 1820.1 John Ruel's father was Hezekiah Evans and his mother was Sarah Moore. His paternal grandparents were Reuel Evans and Sarah Elizabeth Slater; his maternal grandparents were John Moore and Marcia McCall. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Hezekiah Charles, James W., George King, Thomas Jefferson, Martha Elizabeth, Sarah Marcia Lucretia and Mary Ann L.. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 81 on May 23rd, 1902. He was buried in Douglas Br. Ch., Screven Co., GA.1 1 General Notes
