George Jacob Troxell 
George Jacob was born on January 18th, 1758 in MD. George Jacob's father was David Troxell and his mother was Anna Elizabeth Saeger. His paternal grandparents were Peter Trachsel and Juliana Catharina Deshler; his maternal grandparents were John Nicholas Saeger and Maria Barbara Bitsch. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Frederick, Peter, Abraham, David, Mary and Catherine. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died in KY or AL.General Notes
Various dates of death have been listed for George Jacob. But, George Jacob may have survived the massacre of August, 1810, going into hiding and dying Jul 01, 1843. A war memorial to George Jacob remains in McCreary Co., KY and inscribed upon it, along with an inscription referring to his service in the Revolutionary War, is the Star of David. He was "half Kentucky Shawandasse-assimilated Pennsylvania Lenne Lenape" according to his history, so his lineage would have included Native American blood.
