Rufus Eastin 
Rufus was born on October 6th, 1822 in Hopkins, KY. Rufus' father was James Thomas Eastin and his mother was Theodotia South. His paternal grandparents were John+ Eastin and Mary Elender+ Orchard. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Brutus, James Thomas, Octavius, Oscar, John Sullivan, Cassius Columbus, Roland Hoy, Elizabeth, Eleanor Orchard, Judith and Parthenia. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 93 on December 4th, 1915 in Pike Co., MO.General Notes
